SPLIUS is one of the largest internet service providers in North-West Lithuania, providing fiber-optic Internet, smart TV and fixed communication services in Šiauliai and Klaipėda counties and Panevėžys city. Splius offers various service packages, a loyalty programme, computer literacy courses, and more to take care about their customer community.
The Goal
Splius needed to boost customer retention and revenue through innovative service offerings. As
a provider in a competitive market, they sought a product that could be easily integrated with their existing services and provide clear value to their customers.
The Result
Splius has deployed trial versions which reached a great conversion rate of 40%, which enabled Splius to fulfill revenue growth targets while reaching wide potential customer base, promising even larger growth in the future months.
Whalebone’s protective DNS was white-labeled and introduced as an additional feature to Splius's internet packages. The service was offered through a two-month free trial via multiple online and offline.
To try a different approach, in smaller cities where competition was less intense, Splius has deployed the service to the whole customer base as a free trial with opt-in in the end. This strategy allowed Splius to gauge customer interest and adoption rates before a wider rollout.
The service was seamlessly integrated into Splius’s existing offerings, allowing customers to opt-in through their website. The marketing team promoted the service via newsletters, social media, and direct customer interactions and during contract renewals. This multi-channel approach ensured that customers were well-informed about the benefits of the Internet Security Service.
Whalebone’s sales, technical, and marketing teams supported Splius to ensure high adoption rate, provide content and templates, and ensure that messaging and positioning of the product made sense to customers.
1. Experience Whalebone – ask for an individual demo or a 14-day free trial.
2. Create a virtual machine with very low HW requirements – 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and run the Whalebone installation script. Then forward the DNS traffic to Whalebone resolvers. The whole process usually takes around an hour.
3. Customize for Customers. Tailor policies to meet the needs of both individual and business customers. PRO TIP: Reach out to larger B2B customers individually with special offers to maximize revenue potential.
4. Use your online and offline communication channels to offer the service to new and existing customers.
