Bringing transparency for ISP regulatory compliance

We are pleased to announce an enhancement to our regulatory compliance features, particularly relevant for internet and connectivity providers. Governments worldwide are publishing lists of domains to be blocked for various reasons with increasing frequency.

Until now, we have only provided the means to comply with these regulations, but with this release, we aim to offer greater transparency. You will now have detailed information about:

• Authority responsible for the regulation
• Content type in the list (e.g., gambling, CSAM)
• Law or court order the regulation is based on
• Last update (download) of the list in our database
• List of domains included in the regulation (up to 1,000) with a link to the full list if publicly available
  
  

Currently, we support regulatory compliance for countries which have content regulations in place, with two more soon to be added. In addition to the new countries, we will also include regulations from the European Union concerning domains linked to recent sanctions.

With Whalebone, compliance remains as simple as a single click in the policy setting, but it is up to you to activate this feature – it is not applied automatically.
