On October 17, 2024, Whalebone hosted the 4th European Telco Cybersecurity Conference at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria in Poland. The event brought together key leaders from the telecom industry, cybersecurity experts, and Whalebone partners to discuss strategies for driving cybersecurity adoption across telcos, ensuring customer protection, and unlocking new business opportunities.
Whalebone’s mission to provide user-centric cybersecurity to 1 billion people is grounded in collaboration with telcos worldwide. As part of our Telco Cybersecurity Success Program, Whalebone has partnered with more telcos globally than any other competitor. This program fosters collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and success in driving cybersecurity penetration across the telco industry. The conference was a key platform for sharing best practices, networking, and offering practical insights for achieving growth.
A major focus of the event was on strategies that deliver consistent month-on-month (MoM) penetration growth, with an emphasis on proven methods to achieve 2-3% MoM growth in cybersecurity adoption across customer bases. In addition, we explored ways to increase ARPU, leveraging advanced security solutions like Fraud Call Protection.
The conference also emphasized the growing demand for Consumer Digital Life Protection (CDLP) and how telcos are ideally positioned to capitalize on this $84 billion market opportunity. As consumers increasingly seek comprehensive protection for their entire digital presence, the role of telcos in delivering seamless, integrated security solutions becomes crucial.
The conference featured presentations from Whalebone experts, offering product updates, industry insights, and real-world case studies.
We were also honored to host leading telco experts, who shared valuable insights on how cybersecurity solutions are being integrated into their services to drive adoption and revenue growth:
During the conference, Whalebone hosted an Award Ceremony to recognize outstanding achievements among their telco partners. Several representatives were honored for their exceptional performance in driving security penetration rates within their respective markets. The winners were categorized by their penetration levels, which ranged from Level 2 (15-25%) to Level 3 (25-45%), and higher.
Among the top performers recognized were Tino Herljević from A1 Croatia, Aleksandar Petrov from А1 Bulgaria, and Sergej Stolić from A1 Serbia, all of whom achieved Level 2 recognition. Otto Kenga from LMT, Donatas Stankus from Bitė Lithuania, and Liene Smilga from Bite Latvia, were honored with Level 3 awards. These awards reflect the telcos' measurable success in adopting and promoting advanced cybersecurity solutions across their customer bases.
